Adrian Borrego
I am a Valencian in love with coding, virtual reality, and videogames.
I have worked on more than 20 projects, leading the developer team in many of them. Some examples of developments are virtual and augmented reality applications, serious games with hardware integrations, multiplayer games, mobile apps, and backend systems.
Research
The research in virtual reality applied to neurorehabilitation has led me to publish 14 scientific articles in JCR indexed journals, 8 in the first quartile, and 24 contributions to conferences, 18 of which were international.
Teaching
Extensive teaching experience of more than 600 hours at the university level. Diversity of subjects such as virtual/augmented reality, multiplayer game environments, game design, C#, and java programming or corporate network systems.
How I can help take your next project to new heights
My Story
I obtained my degree in Telecommunications Engineering in 2014 from the Universitat Politècnica de València, where I also received my Ph.D. with International Mention in 2019.
My continuous interest in technology, science, and innovation led me to do my master’s thesis at the Institute for Research and Innovation in Bioengineering of the same university in July 2014 and to stay there until today.
I am an essential member of the Neurorehabilitation and Brain Research Group, whose activity is focused on assessing and promoting the recovery of affected brain functions after a brain injury and investigating the mechanisms underlying different brain processes and consciousness through the use of new technologies such as virtual reality or artificial intelligence.
Currently, I am in charge of leading the developer team and performing research tasks. I have coordinated and managed more than 20 projects, 15 of them coming from competitive calls, obtaining the Training of Research Staff grant from the government of Spain.
My scientific activity has resulted in 14 articles in different areas published in JCR indexed journals and 24 contributions to scientific conferences, some of these publications being the result of 2 research internships (London and Zaragoza).
My academic career has been completed with the direction of 1 doctoral thesis, 1 master’s thesis, 3 final degree theses, and 5 research internships. Finally, I have provided more than 600 hours of teaching in the video games and telecommunications degrees at the Polytechnic University of Valencia.
